Trey Pollard brings nearly two decades of experience in communications, public relations, and journalism across the country and the world to his work at Arc Initiatives. He oversees a portfolio of clients ranging from national nonprofit organizations to state-level advocacy campaigns at the forefront of the biggest fights on energy affordability, climate, and conservation issues.
Before joining the firm, Trey spent eight years at Sierra Club, where he served as National Press Secretary and Deputy Communications Director, managing messaging, media relations, crisis communications, and public relations strategy for one of the world’s largest non-profit organizations.
A Capitol Hill veteran, Trey served as Communications Director for U.S. Congressman John Yarmuth of Kentucky’s 3rd District, where he supported Yarmuth’s work as the key messaging liaison to then-Speaker Nancy Pelosi on health care reform. Trey’s journalism background includes reporting gigs for multiple outlets in the U.S. and in South America. Throughout his career, Trey has worked extensively on message development, strategic communications, and political and grassroots advocacy on renewable energy, climate, and environmental issues. He holds a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Political Science from the University of Georgia.
