Trent is a Director at Arc Initiatives, where he specializes in coalition organizing, project management, and strategic communications for advocacy and electoral campaigns. He brings extensive experience in advocacy storytelling and media training, preparing clients for high-profile media appearances and leading storytelling initiatives that connect policy to personal experiences.
In 2026, during the height of Operation Metro Surge and in the wake of ICE agents killing Renee Good and Alex Pretti, Trent helped Minneapolis parents, teachers, and artists prepare for media appearances with The New York Times, The Rachel Maddow Show, All-In with Chris Hayes, The Atlantic, and NPR.
Before joining Arc, Trent was a senior campaign leader for a municipal public safety ballot measure. He has led public affairs campaigns that delivered significant policy victories including Universal Paid Sick Days, Minnesota’s Prescription Drug Affordability Board, a nation-leading Child Tax Credit, and a first-in-state Right to Repair law for renters. His campaign experience spans municipal ballot initiatives to presidential races, including successful campaigns to elect President Joe Biden and Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison.
Born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota, Trent holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. He resides in Washington, D.C., and is considering taking up the French horn again after years away from the instrument.
