Abby is a Senior Director at Arc Initiatives, where she guides strategic communications for coalitions and translates technical policy into clear, compelling narratives that engage diverse audiences, influence policymakers, and shape media coverage. She specializes in media relations, earned media strategy, and coalition communications management across environmental and conservation issues, clean water, and energy. She has generated client coverage or placed opinion pieces in Denver Post, Houston Chronicle, The Guardian, and Newsweek, among other outlets.
Abby has led winning campaigns that secured conservation designations for critical landscapes across the country, while also driving policy change to enact smarter, safer regulations for energy development on and near public lands and waters. Abby has joined Indigenous leaders for advocacy meetings on Capitol Hill with lawmakers and organized press conferences with members of Congress to advance legislation to protect sacred landscapes, including Chaco Canyon in the Southwest and Alaska’s North Slope, from development.
She has led communications efforts for federal-level campaigns aimed at strengthening pollution safeguards, addressing methane, PFAS, plastics, CAFOs, and other pollution sources. Outside of environmental policy, she has held communications roles for presidential and Senate political campaigns, ballot measures, democracy and civic engagement organizations, and others focused on voter participation.
Abby earned a degree in Environmental Studies and Public Policy from Franklin and Marshall College. She enjoys hiking and reading a good book.
