Sally is a Vice President at Arc Initiatives, where she provides strategic communications leadership to advocacy campaigns focused on clean energy, energy affordability, environment, and conservation issues. With her decade of experience, Sally brings a deep understanding of the inner workings of Capitol Hill and the Interior Department, helping to direct clients on how to engage in policy and regulatory fights and generate media attention for those efforts. She’s booked principals on The View, the Today Show, PBS Newshour and primetime on CNN and MSNBC, and generated profile stories in TIME, Rolling Stone, Los Angeles Times, the Washington Post and the New York Times.

Sally launched a first-of-its-kind influencer trip to the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, helping creators share this beautiful place to their unique audiences and explain why it should be protected from harmful oil and gas development. The trip and subsequent social media posts allowed her client to reach a new moderate audience not previously engaged in this fight.

Before joining Arc Initiatives, Sally served in the Biden-Harris administration as Deputy Communications Director for Secretary Deb Haaland at the U.S Department of the Interior. In this role, she launched new initiatives to tell stories of how the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and Inflation Reduction Act benefit the American people. She also led strategic communications efforts around the Administration’s historic efforts to safeguard the Colorado River Basin in the wake of severe drought, protect more acres of public lands and waters than any administration in history, and jump-start the offshore wind industry.

Sally previously served as Deputy Chief of Staff and Communications Director for Congressman Joe Neguse, where she thrived at turning complex policy initiatives into impactful communications initiatives that reached constituents and moved the needle legislatively. She served as Colorado Press Secretary during President Biden’s 2020 presidential run and helped to flip a congressional seat in Pennsylvania from red to blue in 2018. She began her career as a TV and radio booker at the Center for American Progress, where she launched and produced the organization’s flagship news and politics podcast “Thinking CAP.”

Sally holds a degree in political science and history from The George Washington University. She loves hiking and being outdoors whenever she can, whether backpacking in the High Sierras or Adirondacks or taking a weekend camping trip to Shenandoah National Park.
