Shruthi Lakshmanan is a communications professional who has worked with diverse organizations and campaigns to drive meaningful impact. She strongly believes that effective communication has the power to foster meaningful dialogue, amplify marginalized voices, and unite and empower communities to create lasting change.

Shruthi has previously interned for Everytown for Gun Safety, where she advocated for gun safety reforms, and with the United Nations Foundation, focusing on gender equity initiatives. Most recently, she served as the Press and Outreach Associate for Lexi Reese’s U.S. Senate campaign.

Holding a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and a minor in Human Rights from San Jose State University, Shruthi is a passionate storyteller with a strong emphasis on advocacy and grassroots mobilization. She is dedicated to affecting systemic changes, particularly for young people and people of color.
