Sally Tucker
Vice President
Sally Tucker has worked in political communications for nearly a decade, including working for Congress, an Administration, congressional and Presidential campaigns and for a progressive non-profit.
Before joining Arc Initiatives, Sally served in the Biden-Harris administration as Deputy Communications Director at the U.S Department of the Interior. There, she launched new initiatives and helped to share the story of how the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and Inflation Reduction Act benefit the American people. She also led strategic communications efforts around the Administration’s historic efforts to safeguard the Colorado River Basin in the wake of severe drought, protect more acres of public lands and waters than any administration in history and jump start the offshore wind industry.
Prior to joining the Administration, she served as Deputy Chief of Staff and Communications Director in the U.S. House of Representatives, where she built earned media strategies to advance wildfire resilience and climate solutions, raise pay for federal wildland firefighters and advance renewable energy projects. She served as Colorado Press Secretary during President Biden’s 2020 presidential run and helped to flip a congressional seat from red to blue in 2018.
A Vermont native and George Washington University grad, Sally began her career at the Center for American Progress, where she launched the think tank’s news & politics podcast and managed a robust media booking operation. Sally enjoys hiking, rock climbing and curling up with a good book.
