Valerie is a Venezuelan-American communications professional with a focus on building smart & effective strategies to shape the most important conversations happening in the media today both on and offline. She first began her work in politics as a student activist before joining the Elizabeth Warren for Iowa campaign and the communications team of Assistant Speaker Katherine Clark on Capitol Hill. Digitally fluent, Valerie has spent her career at the intersection of culture and conversation and brings a strong press operations background. New York-born and Midwest raised, she received her Bachelor’s in Strategic Political Communication and Global Affairs from Drake University in the spring of 2021.
